Invigor Medical review

What it is

Invigor Medical is an online clinic that sells wellness and weight-loss treatments by subscription. Requests to its old address, invigormedical.com, now forward to tryinvigor.com. The content pages we requested on both addresses returned an access-denied error to our automated reader, so we read its home page and its GLP-1 plan page in a browser instead. Its help center, at help.invigormedical.com, does load, so the billing, insurance and cancellation facts below come from there.

What it prescribes

Invigor’s help center has a medication overview, dated May 2024, that lists semaglutide, tirzepatide and liraglutide injections among its weight-loss medicines [5]. The same page lists LDN Boost, a mix of low-dose naltrexone, oxytocin and vitamin B12 sold for cravings [6]. That page does not say whether the GLP-1s are brand-name or compounded.

Its GLP-1 plan page settles it: Invigor says it does not supply FDA-approved brand-name medicines and prescribes compounded versions instead [15], made by licensed 503A compounding pharmacies [16]. Its home page lists two such plans, “GLP-1” and “GLP-1 + GIP” [17] [18]. The pages do not name the drug in each plan.

Because Invigor sells compounded GLP-1s, know what that means. FDA says compounded drugs are not FDA approved and are not reviewed for safety, effectiveness or quality before sale [1]. FDA’s advice is that they be used only when an approved drug cannot meet the patient’s medical need [2], and it tells telehealth companies not to present a compounded drug as a generic version of, or the same as, an approved one [4].

What it costs

Invigor does not take insurance; patients pay directly [7]. Its help center says you see the full price of the medication, including shipping, at checkout before you finalize the order [8].

Its home page lists the GLP-1 plan starting at $225 [18] and the GLP-1 + GIP plan starting at $350 a month [17], and the plan page says the price includes the doctor consult and supplies [19]. These are starting prices; the pages we read do not give a price for each dose.

Signing up and cancelling

Plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each period [9]. You cancel, or pause, from the subscriptions page of the patient portal [10]. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 7 days before the renewal date [11]. Once an order has shipped, it is not refunded [12]. We found no minimum term in the help center, so we count cancelling as possible at any time, with that notice period. Where it operates

Invigor ships only within the United States [13]. It says some medicines are not available in every state because of state rules [14], and it does not publish a state list.

Safety and regulatory record

We searched FDA’s warning letter database and found no letter addressed to Invigor Medical. One result, Invigorate Med Spa, is a different business. For compounded semaglutide in general, FDA has received adverse event reports, some needing hospital care, that may be linked to dosing mistakes, including patients measuring out the wrong amount [3]. If you are sent a vial, ask exactly how to measure each dose.

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

Until Invigor’s own product pages can be read, we cannot say who it suits. If you want a brand-name GLP-1 with published prices, or want insurance to help pay, start with our program comparison or check the cash prices for brand-name GLP-1s.
