What it is

NovoCare Pharmacy is Novo Nordisk’s own cash-pay pharmacy program. It works through licensed pharmacies on a self-pay model and does not accept insurance [1]. Prescriptions are filled by CenterWell Pharmacy, CoAssist Pharmacy or pharmacies in the BlinkRx network [2].

There is no membership. You pay for each fill, and shipping is free [12].

What it prescribes

Nothing: it is a pharmacy, not a clinic. You need a valid prescription [4], which your own clinician sends to NovoCare Pharmacy [5]. NovoCare lists outside providers if you need one, and says Novo Nordisk does not endorse them [6].

The $199 intro price covers 2 monthly fills and runs through December 31, 2026 [8]. A pen month is a box of 4 pens, a 28-day supply [10], while a pill month is 30 tablets for 30 days [11]. Paying this way keeps the purchase outside your insurance, so it does not count toward your deductible or out-of-pocket maximum [16]. People on government insurance can still use the self-pay prices if they pay outside their plan [19].

If your commercial plan does cover Wegovy, NovoCare points you to a different route: a savings offer under which you pay as little as $25 for up to a 3-month prescription, with savings capped at $100 a month [17]. Signing up and cancelling

There is nothing to cancel. When a refill is due, NovoCare texts you to pay and schedule it [15], so each fill is a separate purchase. You can also have the prescription moved to a local pharmacy for pickup [13]. We found no return or refund policy on the NovoCare pages we read.

Safety and regulatory record

NovoCare sells Novo Nordisk’s own Wegovy through licensed pharmacies [1]. Its partner network is licensed to ship to all 50 states, DC and Puerto Rico [3], and the offer is limited to the United States and its territories [20].

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

NovoCare suits anyone with a Wegovy prescription who pays cash, especially people starting on the lowest pen doses or choosing the pill, which starts at $149 [9]. It pairs with any clinician; several programs in our reviews send Wegovy prescriptions here.

Look elsewhere if your insurance covers Wegovy (use the savings offer at a local pharmacy instead), or if you want Zepbound or Foundayo, which Lilly sells through LillyDirect.
