Lemonaid Health review

What it is

Lemonaid Health is an online doctor’s office that treats many conditions; its weight-loss service is a monthly membership with the medicine billed separately. The first month of membership is free, then it costs $49 a month [1]. Most of the medicines it lists are compounded, and it sends patients who want Zepbound vials to LillyDirect [6].

What it prescribes

Both kinds. The compounded options are tirzepatide, semaglutide and lower-dose “microdose” versions of each. Lemonaid’s own page says compounded products are not approved or verified by FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality [12]. FDA adds that it does not review compounded drugs before they are sold [15]. A compounded injection is a different product from a brand-name pen.

The brand-name options are Zepbound vials, Wegovy and Ozempic [5] [6]. Lemonaid itself notes that Ozempic is FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes and would be used off-label for weight loss [16]; see our page on approved uses.

What it costs

Lemonaid posts every price, which makes the math easy. You pay the $49 membership after the free first month [1], plus the medicine:

• Compounded tirzepatide: $299 a month, or $249 a month on a 3-month plan and $229 on a 6-month plan [2].
• Compounded semaglutide: $299 a month, or $249 a month on a 3-month plan [4].
• Compounded tirzepatide microdoses: $199 a month [3].
• Zepbound vials through LillyDirect: from $299 a month for 2.5 mg and $449 for higher doses [6], the same starting price LillyDirect itself lists [14].
• Wegovy: $1,599 a month, and Ozempic $1,199 a month [5].

The Wegovy price stands out. NovoCare, the maker’s own pharmacy, lists a month of Wegovy 2.4 mg pens at $349 [13]. A banner also advertised GLP-1s from $129 a month for a limited time [9], without saying which product or plan that is.

Lemonaid does not accept insurance for membership fees, medicine or medical fees [7]. If your plan might cover a brand-name GLP-1, read our coverage guide first.

Signing up and cancelling

You can cancel membership services or recurring shipments at any time in your account [10]. All fees and payments, including memberships and refills, are non-refundable [11]. The 3- and 6-month medicine plans lock in a lower rate for that term [2], so only choose one if you expect to stay. Our cancellation guide covers the details.

Where it operates

Lemonaid says its weight-loss service is not yet available in all 50 states [8]. It does not list which ones.

Safety and regulatory record

GLPLens searched FDA’s warning-letter database in September and found no letter to Lemonaid Health. Because its main weight-loss offer is compounded GLP-1s, GLPLens does not link to Lemonaid.

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

Lemonaid may suit someone who has chosen compounded tirzepatide or semaglutide and wants a low membership fee with every price posted up front. Look elsewhere for Wegovy: NovoCare sells it for far less. For Zepbound, you can go straight to LillyDirect with a prescription from any clinician.
