An online pharmacy for brand-name Wegovy, Zepbound and Foundayo, billed to insurance or at the makers' cash prices, with nationwide delivery. It does not prescribe, so you need a prescription first.

What it is

Amazon Pharmacy is Amazon’s online prescription pharmacy. For weight loss it fills brand-name GLP-1s: the Wegovy and Foundayo pills [1], plus Wegovy injections and the Zepbound autoinjector and KwikPen [2]. Signing up is free, with no membership [9].

It is a pharmacy, not a clinic. Every GLP-1 it sells needs a prescription [11]. If you do not have one, Amazon’s separate One Medical service sells pay-per-visit GLP-1 consults from $39 by message or $59 by video, with the medicine billed separately [15]. What it prescribes

Amazon Pharmacy only dispenses what a clinician prescribes, and its weight-loss range is the FDA-approved brand-name drugs [1] [2]. We found no compounded GLP-1 among its weight-loss offers. Amazon’s One Medical clinicians also say they will not prescribe compounded GLP-1s [16].

What it costs

Cash prices start at $149 a month for the Wegovy and Foundayo pills and $199 a month for injections, and Amazon says insured patients can pay as little as $25 a month [1] [2]. “Starting at” means the lowest dose, so check the dose you will actually take.

For the Zepbound KwikPen, the product page repeats Lilly’s regular prices: $299 for 2.5 mg, $399 for 5 mg, $499 for 7.5 mg and $699 for the higher doses [3]. The 7.5 mg to 15 mg pens drop to $449 a month under Lilly’s self-pay offer [4], but only if each refill is bought within 45 days of the last delivery [5].

Foundayo’s regular prices run from $149 at the starting dose to $349 at the top doses [6]. Through December 31, 2026, the 2.5 mg dose is cut to $149 and the 5.5 mg dose to $199 [7]. For the Wegovy pill, the maker’s own NovoCare Pharmacy charges $149 for 1.5 mg, $199 for 4 mg and $299 for 9 mg and 25 mg [8]. Our savings check compares these routes side by side.

Amazon applies some manufacturer coupons automatically at checkout [12], and it can work with your insurance to get your prescription [10]. Coverage for weight loss usually needs a prior authorization.

Medicare patients

Amazon Pharmacy takes part in the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, which lets eligible Part D members get certain weight-loss drugs for a flat $50 a month through December 31, 2027 [13]. The Bridge covers Wegovy, the Zepbound KwikPen and Foundayo for weight loss only, in 28- or 30-day supplies [14]. Try our Medicare Bridge checker.

Signing up and cancelling

There is no subscription to cancel: you pay per fill [9]. Amazon says its GLP-1s can be delivered to all 50 states [2].

Safety and regulatory record

Amazon Pharmacy dispenses FDA-approved brand-name drugs. GLPLens searched FDA’s warning-letter database in September and found no letter to Amazon Pharmacy about GLP-1 products. FDA did send Amazon.com a warning letter in December 2023, but it concerned third-party supplements sold on amazon.com that contained undeclared drug ingredients, not the pharmacy or GLP-1s [17].

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

Amazon Pharmacy suits people who already have a prescription, or who are happy to get one elsewhere, and want brand-name drugs delivered at the makers’ cash prices or through insurance. It also suits Medicare Part D members who qualify for the Bridge.
