Shed (ShedRx) review

An online clinic with flat-priced compounded GLP-1 plans and a separate membership for Wegovy, Zepbound and Foundayo bought from the makers. The catch: the main offer is compounded, and the brand path adds a membership fee.

What it is

Shed, also known as ShedRx, is an online clinic run by Shed Holdings, LLC [24]. Its weight-loss menu lists compounded GLP-1 injections, drops and lozenges alongside brand-name Foundayo, Wegovy and Zepbound [2]. Prescriptions come from licensed providers after a consultation [1].

What it prescribes

Both kinds. The compounded options are semaglutide and tirzepatide injections, plus GLP-1 drops and lozenges [2]. Shed’s own footer says compounded drugs are not FDA approved [1], and FDA says it does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are sold [25]. Shed’s compounded semaglutide page footnotes its results claim with figures from trials of Wegovy [23], which is a different, approved product.

What it costs

Compounded plans include the medicine and are priced per month by plan length. The price does not change when the dose goes up [5].

The brand-name route is two bills: a Shed membership of $125 a month plus the medicine, which Shed lists as starting at $149 a month for Wegovy, Zepbound and Foundayo [6] [7] [8]. The membership is separate from the medicine [9].

Check the Zepbound figure before you pay. Shed’s page describes Zepbound in a vial [11] and shows the same $149 starting line as its Wegovy page [7], while Lilly’s own self-pay price for the Zepbound KwikPen starts at $299 a month [10]. Our Zepbound savings page lists the maker’s prices.

Insurance is unclear. Shed’s FAQ says its programs work without going through insurance [12], and its terms say insurance may not be accepted [14], yet its Wegovy page mentions insurance or cash-pay options [13]. HSA and FSA funds can pay for eligible treatments [15].

Where it operates

Shed says it offers telehealth in all 50 states, with treatment availability varying by state [16].

Signing up and cancelling

All medicine programs renew automatically, every 28 days or monthly depending on the program [17]. You can cancel up to 72 hours before the next billing cycle [18]. The six- and twelve-month plans can only be cancelled after their minimum term [19]. The brand-name membership fee is not refunded once you are approved, but it is refunded if a provider does not approve you [20].

Safety and regulatory record

GLPLens searched FDA’s warning-letter database in September 2026 for Shed, ShedRx, tryshed and Shed Holdings and found no letter. The open question is the product mix: most of its weight-loss menu is compounded [2]. Because it sells compounded drugs, GLPLens does not link to Shed.

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

Shed may suit someone who wants a flat-priced compounded plan, or a membership that manages a Wegovy, Zepbound or Foundayo prescription bought from the maker. Look elsewhere if you want FDA-approved medicines only from a service that does not sell compounded versions, or if you would rather not pay a monthly membership on top of the drug.
